Dr. Kalandar received her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Kuwait University, Health Sciences Center in 2011. She completed her residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada from 2016 to2021. She then joined the Cleveland Clinic for a one-year fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery. She completed her fellowship training in 2022.Dr. Kalandar is currently working as a Craniofacial surgeon full-time at Jaber AlAhmad Hospital and part-time at Farwaniya Specialized Dental Center. Her specialty interests are Craniosynostosis surgery, Cleft lip and palate surgery,Velopharyngeal insufficiency, Ear reconstruction, facial reanimation and facial trauma. Dr. Kalandar has several peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Her research includes Craniofacial surgery, obstructive sleep apnea research and microsurgery.
