Dr Shaima AlQattan is the coordinator of speech therapy services at Jaber Alahmad Hospital in Kuwait. She trained as a medical doctor at University of Aberdeen, Scotland and pursued her higher education at University of Newcastle, UK where she was granted her Masters and PhD degrees in Speech Therapy. Her work now focuses on running medical speech therapy clinics providing services for children and adult medical management as well as rehabilitation. Her research in Arabic phonology has been of great value in the field as she published the largest Arabic language database.
